Kim Alvis

Kim Alvis has been the media specialist for First Presbyterian Church since 2005. Her duties include production of the weekly bulletin, the monthly newsletter and various other publications, and keeping the congregation informed about upcoming events through email, the flat screen television and bulletin boards. Kim has a degree in Communications from East Tennessee State University. She also works as a correspondent for the Kingsport Times-News. She enjoys hiking and spending as much time as possible outdoors.

Wayne Dinsmore

Wayne Dinsmore has been part of the First Presbyterian family for thirty-three years. Wayne oversees the inventory needed for the maintenance of the church, assists with the purchasing of items for special events, and is also responsible for the upkeep of the church facilities and grounds. Wayne handles set up for any special church events and oversees any general contractors working on the premises. After work he spends his time gardening, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors.

Vickie Green

I joined FPC in August of 2014 and my duties at FPC include receiving and greeting visitors, members, vendors, individuals seeking pastoral assistance and all others who may come onto the First Presbyterian Church premises as well as those who call or e-mail during regular church business hours Monday through Friday. Annie Hill

As the Church Business Administrator, Annie is responsible for the general coordination of the church’s business affairs. She supervises the custodial and support staff, oversees and coordinates contractors handling property repairs and construction, maintains the church’s activities calendar, and coordinates scheduling and use of the church facilities. In cooperation and coordination with various committee chairpersons, Annie actively participates in purchasing and the recruitment of church staff and nursery workers. Tammy Hodge

Tammy Hodge has been the director of First Presbyterian Children’s Center since September 1999. Born and raised in Kingsport as Tammy Jackson, she graduated from Dobyns-Bennett High School and then the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a degree in Human Ecology/Early Childhood Education. After college, she married her high school sweetheart, Danny Hodge, and God has blessed them with 3 wonderful children, Katie, Emily and Jackson. Beverly Johnson

As the Church Financial Administrator, Bev is responsible for the administration of all financial and accounting processes of the church. This includes performing duties related to Contributions, Accounts Payable, Payroll and General Ledger functions. Bev earned her accounting degree at Rochester Business Institute in New York State. She has been married to John for 50+ years, and they have 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren. Bev enjoys spending time with her family, reading, swimming, and traveling when possible.

Lance Ramsey

Lance has been working with us since February 2019 filing the position as a part-time maintenance man, custodian and handyman.  Lance grew up on a multi-generational tobacco farm in Rogersville, TN.  He is a graduate of Cherokee High School.  He drove to every state with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii during his 12 years of operating a heavy hauling semi-truck.  In 1995 he moved to Kingsport and gained experience in construction and maintenance with Eastman.  Lance’s wife, Rena, is…

Alice Sanders

Alice recently relocated to this area when her husband, Dr. Glenn Sanders, accepted an appointment at King University as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. She was born in Fort Worth, TX. Her father was a (Baptist) seminary professor of New Testament and Greek, and church involvement and Christian commitment were a high priority in her family. Becca Wright

Becca was born and raised in Kingsport and is the third generation of her family to be members of First Presbyterian Church.  She graduated from the ETSU School of Nursing and has been a licensed Registered Nurse for over 40 years.  After retiring from a long career in Public Health Becca felt called to Parish Nursing.  She now serves as Parish Nurse to the congregations of both First Presbyterian Church and Bethel Presbyterian Church in Kingsport.
